Singjay Corey is using his recently released EP to bring dancehall-reggae back to the streets. That set is titled Vision .

“The response so far has been phenomenal. The public says that these songs were well produced and well thought out. The radio disc jocks say that the early front-runners so far are Vision and Breakthrough, featuring I-Octane, so it's a great look” he said.

Pre-released on August 4, the seven-track Vision will be released on August 14. It is produced on his label, Mineral Boss Records imprint. Its track listing includes Fear No One, Dweet, and Argue .

“It is gratifying to get so much positive feedback from people I respect in the industry. I put a lot of work into this project, I poured my heart into it,” he said.

Corey (given name Cleon Jones) is a co-owner of Mineral Boss Records. The label has built up a solid reputation as an indie label powerhouse in recent years.

The singjay said he has always been interested in music ever since his formative years at White Marl Junior High School in St Catherine. However, 12 years ago, he decided to establish the label with his partner.

The strategy has paid dividends. Last year, the label scored with Mavado's Progress on the Money Boss rhythm. The song is featured on DJ Khaled's Major Keys album, which is listed on the Billboard album charts.
