St Catherine-based singjay Time Assure will release New Era , his first EP, in February. The project has songs produced by Kemar “Flava” McGregor and Kyep Phaz Records.

According to Time Assure, the EP chronicles his career over the last four years.

“You can expect positive lyrics with good melodies,” he said.

Originally from the district of Dunkeld, his interest in music began while attending Pear Tree Grove All-Age.

“I used to beat the desks with my friends and pretend like we were artistes and deejaying. I got popular at school and began performing at school and community events,” he shared.

Following the advice of his father, he got involved in farming. He, however, gave up the soil for music four years ago under encouragement from his brother, an artiste known as Tek Set.

McGregor produced Warrior Love, Time Assure's first song. Later, he recorded Watch Over We for Kyep Phaz Records.

Most of Time Assure's live dates have been in St Catherine, on events such as Galiday Bounce.
