Australia defeat Reggae Girlz 4-1

GRENOBLE, France — The Reggae Girlz went down 1-4 to Australia this afternoon in their Group C Word Cup encounter at the Stade des Alpes Stadium in France.

The Girlz after going behind 0-2 at half time clawed one back early in the second half though Havana Solaun to give the Jamaicans some hope.

But Samatha Kerr who had scored Australia’s two first half goals returned to slot home two more thus confirming victory and second place in the group.

Kerr scored her goals in the 11th, 42nd, 69thand 83rdminutes.

Group C was won by Italy with Brazil in third place and Jamaica in fourth.
