Bus stop gunman arrested

KINGSTON, Jamaica— Twenty-five-year-old Keegan Palmer of Tamarind Tree, 9 Miles, St Andrew was yesterday charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition and assault at common law.

According to the police, about 5:20 pm, a man was standing at a bus stop when Palmer, who was brandishing a firearm, pounced upon him and started making demands.

A report was subsequently made to the police and an investigation was launched that led to Palmer's arrest.

He is scheduled to appear before the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Thursday, February 27.
