Dressmaker nabbed at NMIA with ganja in crotch

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Detectives assigned to the Narcotics Police Division arrested and charged a female at the Norman Manley International Airport, Kingston on Wednesday after she was found with a parcel of compressed ganja in the area of her crotch.

She is 46-year-old Jacqueline Bailey, dressmaker of Lefation, Linstead in St Catherine.

Reports are that about 12:30 pm Bailey was at the security checkpoint in the process of boarding a Caribbean Airlines flight destined to Barbados.

On closer inspection a cylindrical shaped parcel containing compressed ganja weighing two pounds was found hidden in her crotch area.

She was arrested and charged with illegal possession of ganja, dealing in ganja and takings steps preparatory to export ganja.

She is scheduled to appear before the St Andrew Parish Court on Court on Tuesday, February 27.
