Four men nabbed after robbery on Waterloo Road

ST ANDREW, Jamaica — Four men are now in police custody after they reportedly robbed a woman at gunpoint on Waterloo Road in St Andrew early this morning.

According to police reports, the four men, who were travelling in a blue motorcar, robbed the woman about 1:15 am as she operated her stall along the roadway.

Police officers were quick on the scene and pursued the robbers.

The vehicle was intercepted on Waterloo Road, its occupants searched and a Glock 19 pistol along with eleven 9mm cartridges allegedly seized.

Items belonging to the woman were also reportedly recovered.

Police said that the men's identities are being withheld at this time.
