Homemade firearm seized in Clarendon, man in custody

CLARENDON, Jamaica — A man has been taken into custody following an operation in Pleasant Valley district in Clarendon on Friday, November 15 which resulted in the seizure of a homemade firearm and seven rounds of 12 gauge cartridges.

Police reports are that lawmen were in the area about 3:00 am when a premises was searched and the firearm and ammunition found in the man's possession.

His identity is being withheld pending further investigations, the police said.
