Weather forecast: More afternoon showers as trough lingers across Jamaica

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Meteorological Service of Jamaica (Met Service) says a trough is expected to linger across Jamaica for the next fewdays.

According to forecasters, this morning should be partly cloudy, while widely scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected mainly across sections of central and western parishes this afternoon.

Tonight should befair.

Meanwhile, Isaac has weakened to a tropical storm and at 4:00 am, was located 1420 km east of the Lesser Antilles.

Met Service says an area of disturbed weatheracross the northwestern Caribbean Sea has a medium chance of development over the next five days.
