National security minister meets residents of 'No Man's Land'

KINGSTON, Jamaica —Minister of National Security, Dr Horace Chang, is scheduled to host a meeting with residents of several inner-city communities surrounding the 40-acre lot known as “No Man's Land”in downtown Kingston this evening.

“No Man's Land”which is surrounded by the communities of Trench Town, Arnett Gardens, Hannah Town, and Denham Town is expected be the future site of a built-for-purpose police headquarters, announced by Chang in April.

Chang, who made the announcement during his contribution to the sectoral debate, said the new headquarters is expected to accommodate over 2,500 cops.

An advisory from the ministry today said the meeting is expected to start at 5:00pm at the Ambassador Theatre on Collie Smith Drive in Trench Town.
