KINGSTON, Jamaica —DownSound Entertainment (DSE), the organisers of Reggae Sumfest have announced that international recording artist Stefflon Don will not perform during the 26th staging of the event.

Stefflon Don was scheduled to perform on Wednesday night at the Blitz all black party, being held at the Hard Rock Cafe. However, in a surprising turn of events, the artiste's management team cancelled her performance at the last minute, citing a scheduling conflict, DSE stated.

Commenting on the matter, DSE's CEO Joe Bogdanovich said that he was really disappointed with the way in which the matter was handled by Stefflon Don's management team.

“All formalities had been finalised and the fans were really looking forward to enjoying some great music. I think her team acted in a way that was unprofessional and communicated very poorly, which is unfortunate because she is an extremely talented artist,” Bogdonavich said.

“However, we've not allowed this setback to ruin the night. Blitz is going to be a great event, and we have some brilliant entertainment lined up for the patrons. It is most certainly an event not to be missed,” he added.

The much anticipated party is being hosted by popular rapper and reality TV star Safaree, who will also be performing. The full line up of entertainment includes music by Creep from Chromatic, Rolexx, Noah Powa, and Team Shella.

Popular Jamaican singer Jada Kingdom will also be gracing the Blitz stage. She is best known for hits like 'Best You Ever Had', 'Unwanted', 'Love Situations', and 'Wull On'.

Reggae Sumfest 2018, which began on July 15 will run until July 22, with the festival nights 1 and 2 on the 20th and 21st respectively. Some of the most recognizable names in Jamaican music have been confirmed including Damian 'Junior Gong' Marley, Beres Hammond, Spice, and Popcaan.
