Weather forecast: Brace for more rain this afternoon, tomorrow

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Meteorological (Met) Service of Jamaica says a high pressure ridge is building across Jamaica and is expected to dominate weather conditions today.

It also warned that tomorrow, a tropical wave is to bring showers and thunderstorms to some sections of the island.

This morning should be partly cloudy across eastern parishes and mainly sunny elsewhere.

This afternoon, isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected across central and western parishes, while southern parishes should experience windy conditions.

Tonight should be mainly fair.
