Weather forecast: Expect rain this afternoon

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Meteorological (Met) Service of Jamaica says a trough is across Jamaica, however, a tropical wave is expected to move across the island late Friday into Saturday.

Thereafter, a high pressure ridge is expected to become the significant feature, the Met Service reported.

This morning should see isolated showers across sections of northern parishes, while it will be partly cloudy elsewhere.

This afternoon, expect widely scattered showers and thunderstorms across sections of most parishes.

Tonight should be partly cloudy.

The maximum temperature expected for Kingston today is 32 degrees Celsius, while Montego Bay will be 33 degrees Celsius.
