Woman killed in St Thomas

ST THOMAS, Jamaica — The constabulary's Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) has confirmed that a woman was shot dead in St Thomas early this morning.

Reports reaching OBSERVER ONLINE are that at the time of the attack, the woman was preparing to leave her home to take her child to a school in the Corporate Area.

She is said to be in her 40's.

Her name and other details have not yet been released.

The police are now investigating the murder.
