Weather forecast: Partly cloudy morning; rainy afternoon in central, western parishes
KINGSTON, Jamaica — There is a high pressure ridge across the northern Caribbean, including Jamaica.
The Meteorological Service (Met) of Jamaica says the system should should remain across the area before gradually weakening late Tuesday.
While this morning should be partly cloudy, forecasters say afternoon showers and thunderstorms are still to be expected mainly across central and western sections of the island.
Tonight should be partly cloudy.
Meanwhile, Met Service says Hurricane Florence is moving west northwest towards the eastern United States and Hurricane Isaac is drifting closer towards the eastern Caribbean.
