A mother was moved to tears yesterday morning after her son was shaken in a crash between a public passenger bus and a pickup in Portmore, St Catherine.

Makeda Lindsay told the Jamaica Observer that shortly after she put her son, Mikhail Brown, on the number 6 bus on his way to school, she received word that the bus had crashed.

Lindsay rushed to the scene of the crash on Passagefort Drive and hugged her son as they both broke down in tears.

In the immediate aftermath of the crash, that occurred about 8:15, Lindsay said she was not sure if her son had received any injuries.

People claiming to be eyewitnesses said that the crash resulted in the pickup ending up hitting the concrete fence of a house.
