THE National Water Commission (NWC) says the ongoing roadwork in the Three Miles area of Kingston has caused further breaks to the 21- inch transmission main that will necessitate a shutdown of water supply to facilitate the repair work.

the commission, has already started work on the affected pipeline and advised customers to, where possible, store water for use during this period of disruption. The company promised customers that every effort would be made to restore regular water supply in the shortest possible time.

Affected areas include sections of Spanish Town Road and roads leading off Seaview Gardens, Three Miles and Marcus Garvey Drive.
