Spalding Police Station attacked by gunmen, cop injured

THE constabulary's Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) last night confirmed that the Spalding Police Station in Clarendon came under attack by gunmen yesterday, leaving one policeman injured.

Head of the CCU, Deputy Superintendent Dahlia Garrick told the Jamaica Observer that minutes after 6:00 the station was attacked when heavily armed men sprayed the building with bullets.

“The initial report was that the station came under attack and one police received injuries and is now receiving treatment at the hospital. We are trying to get additional information about the incident,” Garrick said.
