MANDEVILLE, Manchester — Police in Manchester say they are treating a shooting incident in the parish on Sunday as a reprisal for the stabbing death of a man last Monday night.

Reports from the police are that about 12:10 pm on Sunday, a man armed with a handgun drove by Hatfield Square and fired at a group of men.

Four individuals were reportedly injured in the incident and taken to the Mandeville Regional Hospital for treatment.

The injuries are not considered life-threatening, the police said.

The police also said that the shooting is believed to be a reprisal for the stabbing death of chef Densuma Henry, also known as 'Crusher', from Wagon Wheel in Hatfield.

Henry was reportedly having dinner with his girlfriend in his house on August 20, when two masked men came in through an opened door.

According to reports, one of the men, who had a gun, held him and made a demand for money, but this was not met.

When Henry's girlfriend, who it is alleged ran from the room during the commotion, returned, he was found dead with stab wounds.

Henry, 38, is also said to have been a scrap metal dealer.

Following Sunday's incident, 9mm casings were reportedly removed from the scene.
