Shavon McDonald (centre) who led Cornwall College to two finals in the 2018 ISSA Schoolboys' football season leaves the island this weekend for England where he will be part of a group of top Jamaican schoolboy players who will spend a week training with English Championship club Stoke City. The trip is sponsored by telecommunications giant, Digicel. McDonald, who also plays for Falmouth United and is seen here controlling the ball in their JFF Western Confederation Charley's JB Rum Super League game against Faulkand FC at Jarrett Park on Tuesday, is happy for the opportunity. “I am very happy for this chance to train with a top club in England and I hope to show off what I can do and also to learn from the coaches, so I can take my game to the next level,” he told the Jamaica Observer West.
