Trading its usual colourful and vibrant packaging for a minimalistic aesthetic, CoverGirl Jamaica officially launched its all-inclusive Full Spectrum make-up collection at the Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel, on Wednesday, May 22. After two years of research, CoverGirl was able to get a better understanding of the undertones of dark skin and thus, Full Spectrum was born. Featuring cosmetics for the eyes, lips and face, the collection contains a vast range of shades that are highly pigmented and designed to pop against darker skin tones.

The organisation's revamped slogan 'I Am What I Makeup' reflects the diversity of undertones and overall complexions of multicultural women. As such, it caters to the finish, performance and colour pay-off that women of colour desire. “There is really no excuse for not having CoverGirl in your purse or make-up bag,” said CoverGirl Jamaica Brand Manager Andrea Blake, in her address.

Guests had the opportunity to get up close and personal with the collection through testing and live demonstrations. The affair featured the Rock's top professional make-up artists, beauty connoisseurs and the first-ever Caribbean CoverGirl ambassador, dancehall-reggae artiste Tifa.
