RACE 1-RESTRICTED ALLOWANCE IV (5YOS&UP/NW3) 1300METRES/6 1/2FURLONGS

Cat's Rigger was rushed into the lead and showed the way to fit-looking Kunama but found nothing when challenged early in the straight and reversed without a fight. Kunama, left in the lead, was attacked by Double Deal who led 200 metres out but neither had an answer for the strong finish of Cue Three who won by nearly two lengths.

RACE 2- RESTRICTED STAKES (THREE-YEAR-OLDS) 1500METRES/7 1/2FURLONGS

Sprinter Princess Zella led down the backstretch until overtaken by favourite Super Sparkle wide in the final part of the turn. Lici's Pepsi, who chased the leaders, went by Super Sparkle to lead into the final 200 metres. My Elle Belle made significant ground coming into the straight, got on terms with Lici's Pepsi 100 metres from the finish and wore her down to score by a long neck. Progress seems to be on the cards for My Elle Belle and now should be followed as she cotinues her rise up the ladder.

RACE 3 -MAIDEN CONDITION (THREE-YEAR-OLDS) 1820METRES/9FURLONGS+25YARDS

Cohete Del Exito led He'stherealking into the backstretch and seemed intent on going for a post to wire win. Nuclear Lava was forced very wide in negotiating the Clubhouse turn but was kept well balanced to move into contention 1,200 metres out and chased the leaders comfortably. On turning for home Cohete Del Exito gave way to Nuclear Lava, who drifted right in the stretch run but stayed on well to score by two lengths over her main rival.

RACE 4-RESTRICTED ALLOWANCE V (4YOS&UP/NW2) 1000METRES/5FURLONGS ROUND

Surprisingly, Miss Nancy led Storm Princess to the top of the home stretch before falling back. Long odd-on favourite Ice Cold chased the leaders and led 350 metres out and scored by a less than expected three and a half-length margin but further improvement is confidently expected for this late bloomer at four-years-old.

RACE 5- MAIDEN SPECIAL WEIGHT (TWO-YEAR-OLDS) 1100METRES/5 1/2FURLONGS

Well-fancied Casual Drink was early into the lead but soon gave way to Mystic Mama, who led into the upper straight. Casual Drink came to the front with very little persuasion and sprinted clear to win by seven lengths. Princess Annie was reluctant to go the early pace but ran on well enough to beat Mystic Mamma by a neck for second. A noticeable debut by Casual Drink who at this stage is probably the best juvenile that has made an appearance thgis season.

RACE 6-$120-100,000 CLAIMING (5YOS&UPWARDS) 600METRES/3FURLONGS STRAIGHT

Willinston, now 11-years-old, showed he had enough ability left and disputed the lead with Stormonthesea for 200 metres before taking sole leadership 100 metres out to score by a length and a half. Genuine Article, could not go the early sprint but closed well for second three parts of a length ahead of Big Paul.

RACE 7- NONE SPRINT GRADE I (THREE-YEAR-OLDS&UPWARDS) 1200METRES/6FURLONGS

Mr Universe, in fast early fractions, led Siempre Bueno, who challenged successfully for the lead in the upper stretch. Running on from third, Money Magnet was the first to get to the tiring leaders with Chace The Great also running on well. Entering the last 200 metres, She's A Maneater, who was outrun to the top of the stretch, sprinted towards the leaders and being on the far rails had to shift right to get by the tired front runners to secure a clear run. Once this was achieved, She's A Maneater shot clear to score by a length and a half in another outstanding performance under top weight. This run by the reigning Horse of the Year, now sets up a grand clash with Will In Charge in the Gold Cup in mid-October.

RACE 8-$450-400,000 CLAIMING (3YOS&UPWARDS) 1000METRES/5FURLONGS STRAIGHT

Runjohnny Run disputed the lead with Jolly D for 800 metres before asserting superiority entering the last 200 metres, then went away to win by nearly three lengths. From a good draw, Sweet Destiny stayed on well to secure the next best slice of the purse ahead of the always prominent Prince Sammo.

RACE 9-$250-210,000 CLAIMING (3-YEAR-OLDS&UPWARDS) 1500METRES/7 1/2FURLONGS

Sprinter Red Dread led down the backstretch with Piano Man, Concur and Also Correct in close touch with Cheers held up confidently behind the pacemakers. Saving ground around the bend Cheers came forward readily in the home straight and stayed on well to beat the fit and consistent All Correct by nearly two lengths.

RACE 10-OVERNIGHT ALLOWANCE (3-YEAR-OLDS&UP) 1000METRES/5FURLS. STRAIGHT

Dancing Queen led Armageddon on the far side, while Zephyr and Birdie My Love were prominent in the centre. On the stand side the favourite Crucial Appeal running prominently to the distance seemingly had things under control. Naturally, middle distance performer Hover Craft, could not go the early pace but came with an impressive late flourish to touch off Crucial Appeal in the final stride. Hover Craft again displayed, despite getting on in years, his remarable ability to win races year after year and is a real credit to his trainer.
