THE Chairman's Trophy - a Graded Stakes event for three-year-olds and up over 7 furlongs has attracted the attention of runner-up to the Horse of the Year 2018, She's A Maneater who is making her first race appearance this season.

This outstanding mare is seeking top earnings from this encounter for a possible Diamond Mile ticket and faces four other rivals in the quest to sit in the 'Chairman's' seat.

The five runners in this race in order of their draws are placed under the microscope by the analysts from the Supreme Racing Guide.

1SHE'S A MANEATER: (5.b. m – Natural SelectionAhwhofah) – Has not raced in 87 days, but has been specifically prepared by her trainer for this race. She's A Maneater once again is burdened with the top impost but should have no real problems as the trip in right up her competence. This is a classy mare who has already done more than expected by anyone, so another notch around her girth is to be expected. Very difficult to oppose in this her first appearance in 2019.

2SUPERLUMINAL: (7.b. h – Natural SelectionThousand Hills) – Tough, rugged, unflinching and also talented are words one can easily use to describe this Ian Parsard trainee. Superluminal was at his determined best just two weeks ago when in a hard-fought battle in the straight with Houdini's Magic, he got home by two lengths and that was over the same distance of this race – 7 furlongs. He remains fit and ready and the fact that he races so early after his last competitive effort is a clear signal of intent from the connections. Superluminal should provide the greatest threat to She's A Maneater.

3 DRUMMER BOY: (4.b. c – Natural SelectionPreach Preacher) - Has already raced six times this year and his main task here is probably to keep the pace up front honest for his more accomplished stablemate.

4 PERFECT NEIGHBOUR: (9.dkb. h – Natural SelectionDesperatehousewife) – Will have too much to do in this one.

5CHACE THE GREAT: ( g – Greatness Our Miss Ruth) – Second start for the year for the reigning sprint champion. Chace The Great is probably racing just outside his comfort distance but packs sufficient class to have an impact on the outcome.

SPECIAL NOTE Natural Selection is the sire of four of the entries in this race while veteran jockey Paul Francis makes a return to the saddle.
