Arecent midday jaunt over the causeway found Under the Dryer (UTD) inside the Polished by Unique Yanique pamper oasis. Just over a year ago, on December 1, 2017, nail technician Yanique McKoy opened Polished by Unique Yanique. The full-service salon has six professionals who provide myriad spa treatments: there are McKoy and her two assistants — Felecia Hibbert, pedicurist, and Sammy-Joe Smith, nail technician — and three in-house hairstylists Teisha Stewart, Jenene King, and Chantelle Godfrey.

McKoy studied nail art and nail design at New York's Nail Design University and the Crystal Nails Nail Camp conducted by Monica Cornier and Sara Steinbrink. Her professionalism, skill and talent are reasons her clients keep coming back.

Whilst McKoy is versed in a variety of nail designs, she admits that free-hand and nail art are her specialities. Under the Dryer discovered the services on tap.
