Summer is almost here and Under the Dryer looks to the international fashion shows for inspiro. What's the new lip colour? Which shade of eyeshadow is Riri wearing? What's the newest beauty campaign Rock models are a part of? It all makes the decision to try new trends so much easier when our faves are rocking them, too. From the runways of Hellessy, Lanyu, Area, Alice + Olivia, Peter Pilotto, Giorgio Armani and Ulla Johnson, Under the Dryer beauty redeemers witnessed solids being played up this season with a bit of shimmer and lots of pigment. We pare down the top seven beauty looks.

At Lanyu, models became canvases for painterly strokes of varying colours that together created the beauty look for the eyes. We saw dewy skin with very little brow or lash work transformed by the patterns created on the lids.

Matte lilac eyelids with a sensual plum lip created a colour code backstage at Giorgio Armani Spring 2019 collection. The barely lilac shadows and pigmented lip colour in plum were used to up the drama as models with Afros went down the runway.

A pigmented glossy teal/cobalt eye was used to create this gorge make-up look backstage at Alice + Olivia. In other instances, Saint International models Wayne Booth and Tami Williams have revealed teal looks in separate editorial sittings.

The purple-pink highlighter brushed gently across the cheekbones at Area Spring '19 provided the futuristic trend also worn previously by Bajan popstar Rihanna at the 2017 Met Gala in New York City.

Minimal eye make-up and a splash of red on the lips were the look for Hellessy Spring 2019. Rock them exactly like the model by going for a couple of shades lighter with a nearorange contour on the cheeks.

Peter Pilotto

Matte peachy eyes are the wild-card pick for this subtle make-up look from the Peter Pilotto Spring 2019 runway show. The look involves dewy skin, tamed brows and a gorge take on eyelid highlights. Saint International model Wayne Booth rocked a similar look months before in a series of images taken by Thomas Cheater.

Ulla Johnson

This season's hottest accessories are lightly stained lips and pink mascara. Black mascara is now a thing of the past! You heard right, pink mascara and a number of other colours force wearers to face the drama. There are several dramatic colours to choose from including green, cobalt blue, and brilliant aubergine.
